2009 ADDY Early Bird Ticket Deadline Extended
The RAF has decided to extend the deadline for early bird tickets to the 2009 ADDY Awards and Party to Monday, February 9, 2009. From now until the 9th, tickets to the ADDYs are $60 for members, $70 for non members, and $25 for students.
Tickets purchased after February 9th will increase to $65 for members and $75 for non members. Student tickets will remain $25.

2009 ADDY Entry Deadline Extended
Good news if you’re scrambling to get your 2009 RAF ADDY entries in on time. The deadline for entries has been extended until Friday, February 6th, 2009 by 5:00pm. As a reminder, all entries must be mounted, with exception of interactive pieces and broadcast TV or radio work. Please refer to the official rules and guidelines for complete details on how work is to be presented. Mounted and unmounted entries must be dropped off at John Myers Photography (directions here) by the deadline. Payment may be made after registering entries at omnicontests.com/addy or may be dropped off with your entries.

SAVE THE DATE! Ad Council of Rochester’s 14th Annual Pro Ad Golf Tournament
The RAF, a contributing member of the Advertising Council of Rochester, wants you to be among the first to know about the Ad Council’s annual golf tournament. It’s their largest fundraiser of the year, and it’s another great chance for you to connect your colleagues, friends, and co-workers. Even if you’re not a golfer, plan to join the Ad Council for a reception and dinner in the afternoon. They’re working on some fantastic auction items, contests, and prizes, so there will be something for everyone! Details and registration info is as follows:

Student Portfolio Review an A+
On April 16, 2008 the Ninth Annual 2008 RAF Student Portfolio Review brought out the future stars in the fields of graphic design, advertising, new media, and copywriting. This one-night-only program was open to all senior-year college students with portfolios. The event was a big success, with over 50 students in attendance. But as Bob Kiesow, RAF Education Committee member, explains, “the event would be nonexistent if it weren’t for the 20 volunteer creative directors from the Rochester area who gave up their evening to review portfolios and offer the students feedback and career advice.”
